Diaper Review- Just Ducky Baby

Just Ducky Baby All In One Diapers tote the tagline “The World’s Most Luxurious Diaper” My son was in Just Ducky’s from 4 months of age, comfortably fitting into their medium size.

Pros:

  • The diaper is soft, and certainly feels luxurious
  • The patterns are adorable, and worth showing off!
  • The microfibre inner had great “stay dry” properties

Cons

  • Microfibre has been known to absorb skin oils-  however we didn’t find this.
  • We’ve had a few compression leaks with this type of diaper
  • After 7 months of use in rotation, the velcro on one of the wings has come entirely unstitched.

Summary:

All in all, the Just Ducky Diaper is a great little dipe, and well priced to boot. We currently still use the Medium sized diaper, on my son who is now 16 months old, so the fit has been economical.

Soft, Lucious, The Perfect Newborn Nappy!

Short of going nappy free, there’s nothing more comfortable for your new arrival than the lucious snuggliness of a cloth nappy!

Our first son, has been in cloth since he was born, has never suffered nappy rash, and hasn’t been exposed to the toxic chemicals that are present in many disposable nappies.

Some advantages of Cloth Nappies are:

    1. They’re environmentally friendly – you don’t need bleach, you don’t need to soak, and you don’t need 15L of water to create each one (as disposables do!!)
    2. They’re baby bottom friendly, you’re not exposing your child’s skin to chemicals such as polypropoleyne, tributyl tin, chlorine bleach to name a few!
    3. They’re economical – the initial outlay is the biggest cost, but using cloth nappies fulltime has saved us $1500 per child.
    4. They’re super easy to use, even my husband can handle a diaper change, in the dark, with a wriggly bub.
    5. They’re wonderful for when the tot is learning to walk, as the cushioning takes the ouch factor out stumbles
    6. They’re great to guage how much fluid your little one recieves
    7. They’re easy to make frugally if need be.

If your child deserves nothing but super soft snuggly bottoms, then cloth is the way to go for you – and take it from one very lazy “housewife” the washing is no more than what a usual baby puts out anyway!
